The JLA staff are here to give you more than a basic education. We're here to give you a future, an edge, an advantage. If you desire only an entry level position, that's fine, you'll be more than qualified. However, if you want more...to aim higher...to shoot for the stars, then what you learn at JLA will assist you in achieving those goals.
As a licensed cosmetologist?
A cosmetologist is a professional who specializes in giving beauty treatments. A general cosmetologist is proficient in all forms of beauty care and can give hair treatments, facials, skin treatments, & nail treatments.
However, a dedicated and ambitious student can look for, or plan a career in the fashion industry, film and television, product development or as an entrepreneur operating her/his own studio(s).

| WHAT CAN I DO AS A COSMETOLOGIST? |
(1500 hours; 10-12 months)
Jenny Lea Academy of Cosmetology students learn all aspects of the Cosmetology field using the world-renowned Pivot Point training system. The textbooks used are ladies’ sculpture, men’s sculpture, hair design, long hair design, perm design, color design, and salon success. You will be well trained in an assortment of cosmetology fundamentals including the following: hair, basic makeup application, facial waxing, manicures, and pedicures. Textbooks and supplies kit are included in tuition. |
