Our Process

We would love to welcome you as a student at Jenny Lea Academy, but there are a few application requirements that we must complete first.

We have tried to keep our application process straightforward!

Step 1: Complete the FAFSA and any other financial aid applications that are available to you.

At Jenny Lea Academy we want to see our students accomplish their educational and career goals. There are various options for funding your education! We work with veterans and offer different scholarship options in the form of grants or loans. You can fill out the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA®) to learn more about what you may qualify for.

Please make note in your records: If you are applying for assistance, you’ll need to reference our school code on your aid application.

Step 2: Tour Our Academy

If you have not toured our academy, we welcome you to book a tour! During your visit, you will also complete an admissions interview.

This interview, paired with the tour, is a fantastic opportunity to ask about your program of interest, financial aid options, and any other questions you may have.

Step 3: Fill out and submit our school’s online application form

Please understand there is a $100.00 application fee that is non-refundable. We do ask this fee be provided as soon as possible. Your application will begin review only when the non-refundable $100.00 application fee is received. Thank you for your understanding!

Applications are completed onsite.

Acceptance

Have you been accepted and now ready to enroll? We will need to complete the following steps to get you registered!

Step 1: Pay application fees.

Step 2: Contact the school to set up financing, loans, or a payment plan.

Step 3: Sign an enrollment contract with the school and provide required documents.

Step 4: Provide proof of age. Proof of age may be documented by various means, including, but not limited to, birth certificate, driver’s license, government issued identification, birth registration, passport, etc.

Step 5: Provide proof of Prior Education Accomplishments. Applicants must hold a high school diploma, high school transcripts of completion, or a GED certificate.

Step 6: Teaching Programs - If you are entering our Instructor program, please provide a copy of your current license as a cosmetologist, aesthetician, or nail technician.

Step 7: Begin your classes, work hard, fulfill your career dreams!

Placement Assistance

Jenny Lea Academy provides placement assistance, professional appearance guidelines, and follow-up to its students and graduates. The school does not guarantee students a job after completion of the course; however, area shops are continually contacting the school to make them aware of the openings and this information is posted on the student bulletin board. Job referrals are made available to qualified students.

Transfer Hours

Jenny Lea Academy always attempts to accept all transfer hours. You may talk with our administration staff to sign needed paperwork so we may request your transcripts.
